Product facts

What you can do in Stratos today

A short map of the current product: data, rules, Orbit, ATLAS, paper and alerts, and what stays outside.

Data

  • Historical bars from Alpaca, from 1 minute through 1 month, over a preset period or a custom date range. How far the history goes depends on the symbol and the bar size.
  • US equities and ETFs, plus major crypto pairs such as BTC/USD and ETH/USD.
  • Live prices and watchlists in the app. Company fundamentals from Finnhub and FMP are for research. They cannot be entry rules.

Rules

  • Describe a setup in plain language, or set the fields yourself. No Python is required for Builder or SmartLab modes.
  • Indicators: RSI, EMA, SMA, MACD, Bollinger Bands, ATR, ADX, Stochastic, VWAP, Momentum, CCI, and Williams %R. The same indicator can run at more than one length.
  • Builder also includes opening range, rolling range, fair value gap, engulfing, and pin bar.
  • Long, short, or both. Stops and targets can be a percent, an indicator level, or an ATR multiple. Trailing stops and scaled take-profit are available.
  • A multi-ticker run applies the same rules on each symbol. Size is a fraction of capital from 0% to 100%.

Orbit

Orbit drafts and revises strategy fields from what you say, explains a finished backtest from that run’s results, and can pull a live price, your watchlists, or fundamentals. A watchlist change applies only after you confirm it.

ATLAS

  • A signal is judged on a closed bar. The simulated fill is the open of the next bar.
  • Slippage and commission start at zero until you change them.
  • The default comparison is buy and hold. You can pick one benchmark ticker. VIX is rejected.
  • SmartLab models — logistic regression, random forest, and XGBoost — train inside the backtest, as a single split or a walk-forward window.

Paper and alerts

  • Paper trading uses virtual capital: market, limit, stop, and stop-limit orders, or a paper deployment that watches a saved strategy.
  • An alert emails you once, then turns off. It does not submit an order.
  • A finished backtest can be opened from a read-only link. Viewing it does not require an account.

What it will not do

  • Live brokerage execution is coming. It is not available today. Stratos does not place real-money brokerage orders.
  • No options, futures, or forex.
  • Stratos is not a broker, advisor, or a personalized buy, sell, or hold service.
  • A backtest is a simulation. The Terms of Service include the hypothetical-performance disclosure.
  • Fundamentals cannot drive entry rules.
  • SmartLab models do not run on live alerts or paper deployments.
  • Multi-ticker sizing does not adjust for correlation. There is no mean-variance portfolio optimizer.
